Salary: $150,000 - $160,000 + Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits
Lead Manufacturing Excellence in a High-Tech Environment
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead and optimize complex manufacturing operations for advanced electromechanical systems. This leadership role is responsible for driving safety, quality, delivery performance, productivity, and continuous improvement while leading a team of approximately 12-15 direct reports.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a strong background in manufacturing operations, Lean methodologies, and team development. You thrive in fast-paced environments, lead by example, and are passionate about building high-performing teams that consistently deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a manufacturing team of approximately 15 employees to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.
- Oversee daily manufacturing operations and production execution.
- Establish production priorities and maintain schedules to ensure on-time customer delivery.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Sales teams to support business objectives and customer requirements.
- Monitor production performance and resolve constraints related to labor, materials, capacity, and processes.
- Recruit, hire, train, and develop manufacturing personnel.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives focused on waste reduction, process efficiency, and throughput improvements.
- Champion 5S standards and facilitate Kaizen events and continuous improvement projects.
- Utilize Six Sigma and structured problem-solving methodologies to reduce defects and improve manufacturing performance.
- Analyze key operational metrics including on-time delivery, labor efficiency, productivity, and first-pass yield.
- Support new product introductions, engineering changes, automation initiatives, and scalability improvements.
- Ensure compliance with quality systems, company policies, and applicable safety and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Management, or a related technical discipline. Equivalent experience may be considered.
- Proven manufacturing leadership experience in aerospace, defense, medical device, electronics, power systems, or other highly regulated industries.
- Training and/or certification in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, 5S, Kaizen, Project Management, or related disciplines.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting complex electromechanical assembly operations.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality systems.
- Strong background in production planning, capacity management, inventory control, and manufacturing metrics.
- Experience with high-voltage, X-ray, accelerator systems, or related technologies is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
